Gateway Monitor Power Supply Problem

\015 Hey,I was given a Gateway Monitor MLTSC 50W 00899 from a friend because he lost the power cord and was too lazy to find a new one. I found a cheap one that fit at the Surplus Electronic store. The first time I plugged it in, the monitor worked in full HD. About 5 mins later the screen turned off and the blue power button just keeps on flashing, but gives me no display. Should I buy a better power cord, or is the display just plain broken?Thanks!\015

I have the same problem. I just unplug it and reconnect. The display comes back. I have no idea why this is happening.
