No sound from inbuilt speakers

\015 I'm not very computer savvy and I would really appreciate if anyone could tell me how to get sound coming through the inbuilt speakers of my Philips 170P monitor rather than having free-standing computer speakers.\015

\015\012you should have a speaker cable in addtion to the monitor cable (big thick cable) coming from the monitor. the speaker cable (much thinner with similar plug as free standing speakers) needs to be plugged into the sound output jack on the back of your computer (jack is possibly colored green).
You will need to change the sound settings on the PC to use the option for monitor built in speakers.
the monitor also should have come with software
to use for this.
if using earphones plugged in this will disable the built in speakers
